Western's Manufacturing Engineering program develops industry proficiencies with the help of intensive laboratory components spread throughout its courses. Through laboratory experiences, students learn to apply theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom to solve practical, application-based problems in manufacturing.

The Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management degree is unique in the blending of core business, manufacturing, supply chain and engineering courses into a comprehensive degree program. Combined with six months of internship experience, students leave the program uniquely prepared for successful careers in industry.

A BS degree in Kinesiology — Sport Psychology specialization provides students with the behavioral knowledge and educational techniques to enhance performance in recreational, exercise, and athletic settings. The major blends coursework from psychology and kinesiology giving students an understanding of physiological as well as psychological considerations for movement and wellness.

The Kinesiology — Pre-Healthcare Professions program is a concentrated study of human movement from mechanical, physiological, and pathological perspectives. The Pre-Healthcare Professions option is ideal for students who wish to pursue post-baccalaureate study in a healthcare profession or preparation for careers in fields where movement and exercise prescription are a focus.

The Bachelor of Science Degree program in Industrial Design prepares graduates to begin work as practicing designers in corporate, consulting, or entrepreneurial positions.

Western’s Geophysics major is distinct from geology in that a more intensive set of math and physics courses, and applications of these skills, are required. Students are strongly encouraged to complete a senior thesis project as part of this degree, providing them with an excellent capstone experience.

This degree is for students who want to become professional geologists and plan to enroll in a graduate program or enter industry. The BS is designed to provide students with a broad background in geology.

Students wishing to complete an Environmental Science Toxicology emphasis major in four years should complete the general chemistry series and the general biology series during their freshman and sophomore years. Environmental toxicology problems include chemical releases into the air, water, and soil, and the result in effects to the organisms living in those systems.

Environmental Science draws on basic knowledge of the physical, chemical, biological, and quantitative aspects of natural systems.
